Here are some examples as to how the word of the week can be used everyday.
The examples used here are based on listening to and using Te Reo Māori with people predominantly from Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa and Tūhoe.

Te wiki tuawhitu (week 7/1 September) rangi/sky

Here in my area, rangi is the word for day – To describe a good day we say, He pai te rangi.
He aha tēra I runga I te rangi – What is that in the sky?
He manu I runga I te rangi – A bird is in the sky.
He kikorangi te tae o te rangi – Blue is the colour of the sky.

Te wiki tuarima (week 5/18 August) engari/but

Kau mau te wehi tō korero Māori, engari, āta haere – Awesome talking of Māori but slow it down.
He rangi pai I tēnei ata, engari titiro ki ngā kapua pango tērā – It is a nice day but look at the black cloud over there.
