Immersion Courses: Learners, Parents and Teachers Working Together

The purpose of Immersion Courses is to bring learners with a similar need together to gain skills and knowledge in areas of the regular and the Expanded Core Curriculum. They may also focus on the needs of parents or in some cases bring both learners and parents together to support improved outcomes for learners.

This year, on the courses for Braille learners aged between 9 and 14 we have had several students step up into a mentoring role to support their technology skills and knowledge, Braillenotetakers in particular.   Continue Reading →
